What is Performance Assurance?

Performance Assurance is the process needed to assure that your end users receive the performance that they have been promised. It is not only concerned with the design of the computer system, but also the business process that drives it. Performance Assurance is concerned with assessing that the proposed system design will meet the performance goals using a performance model. Results from the model allow performance budgets to be assigned to code.

Finally performance testing demonstrated that the system meets its performance goals. The depth of the process is governed by the risk and consequence of failure to meet performance goals.
